Terrific Trivia Triumph!

What a fabulous evening of fun and fundraising! Our inaugural Gala Fundraising Trivia Night was a spectacular success, attended by 124 enthusiastic guests.

The total amount raised for BIEPA's environmental volunteer projects was staggering:

$10,220

The Raffles

The evening started with guests arriving and immediately being drawn to the impressive array of raffle prizes on the outside deck. Local businesses had donated generously, including some lovely paintings from local artists. The raffle tickets were rapidly dwindling as guests gave generously.

The Trivia

Once guests had settled around their team tables, the trivia quiz started. Most teams did well in the first round, the well-chosen questions getting more tricky in later rounds. There were four rounds in all, but in the end only one winning table of course:

The Food

Then the food started arriving. The chef and staff delivered a delicious first course, and a lull in the conversation ensued as everyone tucked in. A few more rounds of trivia later, the munching resumed as decadent desserts arrived and were quickly demolished.

The Sponsors

The evening was made possible by generous donations of money and enticing prizes by our sponsors. Please support these local businesses.

The Teams

There were 12 tables, one for each team, and some inventive team names. Kudos to the Ninja Turtles, Lycra Ladies, Toadal Recall, and Annie Lane Café for having a (fancy) dress code!

The Winners

Alongside the trivia winners the Ninja Turtles and their various bottles of wine, we also had auction winner Richard looking forward to a Treetops treat, and raffle winner Sarkis with a $200 hamper from Camping Fishing Prospecting.

The Crew

The fundraising team pulled out all the stops in getting local businesses on board and selling raffle tickets in the lead up to the event, and team leaders Leesa Armstrong and Rosie Layton did a brilliant job as the quiz hosts. The helpful staff at the Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club made sure everything ran smoothly on the night, and there was a tremendously positive vibe from all the guests.

The Next One

Such a night would not have been possible without the wonderful support of local businesses and the community. For those of you who missed out on getting a ticket for the event, we will do it all again in about 18 months, so watch this space. If you are super-keen to come, please get in touch at fundraising@biepa.online and we'll let you know as soon as we have a date.

This was a great success, and a real credit to our volunteer team. One of the great things about the modern BIEPA is that it's getting involved throughout the entire community. So good to have local businesses joining us.
