Moreton Says: speak up on sustainable transport!

City of Moreton Bay Council are conducting the next stage of their Moreton Says program of surveys, which collect community feedback for input into their planning process.
This is a great opportunity for BIEPA members to make their voices heard, to make Council aware of the issues that are close to our hearts. This survey closes on 23rd April.
Why this one is important
This particular survey covers areas BIEPA has been campaigning on:
What makes our city a good place to live.
Your experiences with City of Moreton Bay (Council).
Active and public transport
Communicating with Council.
We are particularly keen to be heard on the subject of active and public transport. Our Ecotourism & Sustainable Development Mission Team has been running a campaign via the Better Bribie Transport group on Facebook for some time now, with almost 800 people actively discussing the issue, facilitated by BIEPA member Karen Wilson.
Read our Position Statement on Sustainable Transport Options for inspiration before completing the survey.
Bribie Island residents are historically the biggest contributors to these surveys across the City of Moreton Bay area — what we say has a strong influence on Council!
Get started now
There are various ways to complete the survey, including online and on paper. If you prefer to fill out a paper response you can get these from the library or by emailing the Moreton Says team: yoursay@moretonbay.qld.gov.au
Getting face-to-face with Council
The Moreton Says survey team are holding several pop-up consultation sessions, including one at Jazz and Shiraz in Brennan Park, Bongaree on Saturday 5th April 2025.
Seeing the results
Once the survey is closed you will be able to explore the results on the Moreton Says website. The results from previous surveys in the report on survey #2 and in the analysis on Sustainability and the Environment (under the Community Views section) are particularly relevant.
Thanks Mike.
