BIEPA is proud to be a key partner in the inaugural Bribie Island Nature Festival, one of the most exciting things to happen on Bribie Island for a very long time. Festival organisers have done a tremendous job to create an exciting program of nature-minded events, workshops, presentations, and entertainment over a whole weekend in October.
The Festival is a direct result of BIEPA’s desire to influence and transform the tourism narrative on Bribie Island, after our nature-based tourism forum back in April 2022 heard input from 140 enthusiastic community members and representatives from many Island businesses and organisations, as well all levels of government.
The Bribie Island Nature Festival brings together people and ideas, celebrating the nature and heritage of this unique place, widely considered an environmental jewel of the Queensland coast. All events reach out to the public in ways never before achieved here on Bribie Island. As you will see from perusing the program, there are attractions of all types, from nature, art, history and heritage workshops and tours to a superb concert finale featuring an 18-piece jazz orchestra. Families and individuals will find plenty of interest, with both ticketed and free events.
Don't miss Festival Director Libby Anstis as BIEPA's guest speaker at our September public meeting at 7pm on Monday 25th September.

Fabulous how this integrated art and nature concept has flourished. Congratulations to the concept initiators, and to Libby and her hard-working team.
Wow, this will be fantastic! A great way to draw attention to our natural environment. Brilliant to see BIEPA broadening it's engagement with the community.
