Update
The competition is now closed to new entries. Many thanks to everyone who submitted their photos. Winners will be announced in September when the calendar will be available to buy.
BIEPA member Jill Cutting is leading a new Community Team project to develop a BIEPA calendar, showcasing photographs of nature, community, and lifestyle on Bribie Island taken by the local community. The aim is partly to raise funds for our many projects, but also to raise awareness of the beautiful nature on our doorsteps. We're hoping people will send the calendars as gifts to friends and family around the world.
Photo Competition
To select the photos for each month, Jill is running a photo competition. People are invited to submit their best images and the judges will select 13 to use in the calendar: one per month and an extra one for January of the next year. The first prize winner will also appear as the cover photo.
We are offering great prizes:
1st ... $500
2nd ... $250
3rd ... $150
$50 Sunshine Mitre 10 voucher for each of the other 10 winners
Entry is free but limited to 3 entries per person. No professional experience is required. Entries open 17 May and close 28 June 2024. Submit your photos by reading the Ts & Cs and completing the online application form available below.

Sounds like a brilliant idea, Jill, a great way to get the natural beauty, flora and fauna of Bribie out to, hopefully, a much wider audience, as well as a very positive way to further foster a love of our little coastal jewel.
