About the event
The Bribie Island Environmental Protection Association welcomes visitors to join our annual Wonders of the Wallum Spring Wildflower Walk, part of Sunshine Coast Council's Wildflower Festival 2023. See the Wildflower Festival website for other walks and a wildflower guide.
This is a self-guided walk through the wallum heathland of Bribie Island National Park, with plaques identifying wildflowers along the route. Come at any time during the 2-hour window to walk at your leisure. Please wear walking shoes, long sleeves, and a hat, and bring sunscreen and water for the walk. A camera and binoculars are recommended.
Important: Numbers are limited, please register for this walk to secure a place and get reminders and updates by email. Parking spaces at the Arts Centre are also limited so please consider sharing cars or walking from nearby streets.
BIEPA members: we need you! If you can help set out the little signs, check in the walkers, and guide them at a few places along the route, please contact flora@biepa.online to volunteer.
Read about last year's walk in our News section. This year we also have educational guided walks — buy tickets for them from our Events section.
